Well hello! So glad you could join me in my little corner of cyberspace. Today I’ll share an experience I had over the weekend that has me on alert & I think we all need to be very aware of this issue.
But first let’s grab our cuppa’s, a treat & get comfy. Today I’m having a slice of gf home baked Orange Marmalade loaf with a mug of hot Russian Caravan tea as it’s cold & wet here on the east coast of Australia as it has been raining & raining with many parts of our region in flood!
But we’re warm, comfy & dry indoors so let’s begin…
High Tea for Missions
This past weekend I enjoyed a little time out with my mother in law, it had been a tentative High Tea date marked on both our calendars for several weeks. Why tentative?
For both of us to attend it depended on how our individual chronic health conditions were fairing that day.
The day of the High Tea for Missions arrived & it was a lovely sunny day, a break from all of the rain. And we both made it to the most delightful afternoon High Tea with wonderful fellowship, cups of tea, delicious treats, musical performances & a testimony.
I feel blessed that we were both able to make it on the day.
Especially as that day I really needed a little fun time out, as it was the anniversary of my daughter Candy’s passing, shared Here.
Be Aware, be very aware!
After such a wonderful afternoon the next day my energy was understandably lacking, so I decided to listen to a message at home. I went on YouTube & a selection came up on my feed.
I picked a well known Bible teacher/preacher from the last century who is with the Lord now but many of his messages were recorded during that time, I started listening to one such recording.
However, as the message went on alarm bells were sounding in my spirit.
As a lot of what was being said wasn’t aligning with his ministry nor with the Word of God! Hmmmm!
I stopped the video & sat pondering as to what on earth was going on. Although it sounded like his voice & the message had parts that did align with the Word of God (scripture) but other parts did not.
Then the thought came to mind to look at the origin of the video, was it from his official legacy Association? No it was not.
Then who was putting this out there? When I looked, it was an erroneous name with no website link, only an email address attached to YouTube.
So I did a little more investigation on his legacy’s official website, as to whether this message had ever existed under this preacher. After a lot of searching, I found it had not!
I then realised that this particular YouTube video had actually been generated by someone using sophisticated programs in replicating this preacher’s voice by using real parts of his recorded messages but interlaced them with false teachings in a replicated voice!
This greatly concerned me, as this was a highly respected Bible preacher & teacher for many decades throughout the twentieth century & to see his preaching manipulated & contaminated like this was very disturbing indeed.
It really highlighted to me just how much we need to be on guard, discerning everything, praying for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, direction & discernment continually.
Then the other Day
My eldest daughter sent me a link to another well known speaker, this one was a well known Missionary who is also with the Lord now but had many messages recorded.
And when I listened to her message, one particular area had me questioning as to the authenticity of this recording.
These incidences bring to mind the following scripture;
“…there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master…” 2 Peter 2:1
So please be alert & very aware that this is happening & the need to continually have the Holy Spirit’s discernment in what you watch & listen to, as it may have been manipulated by false teachings.

Jen you and so right! This happened to me a few weeks ago when I was watching a YouTube video of a very well known pastor who has passed away as well. It was his voice but something seemed off. Same thing when I looked just an email attached to the You tube video. And like you I went to the pastor association website and was looking in their videos and found what I was looking for. The you tube one had some of this pastors teaching with other faulses that did not align with Scripture. Wow! I couldn’t believe it, well yes I can because today’s times are frought with faulses . We need to to be so careful and discerning making sure what we’re watching, reading and listening to align with Scripture.

Jennifer, thank you for this warning. These days, there is so much deception, and the use of AI has gotten out of hand, especially now that people are using recordings of others’ voices and even their pictures in videos to pretend to be that individual. Very scary times. I appreciate you sharing this information with us.

I am also very worried about AI being used abused and misused. I spend hours trying to compose a blog post, and it bugs me that people might think I use AI. (It’s obvious I don’t, my last post I’m sure could be improved, but I also decided I spent enough time on it.) Deeper fakes are even more worrying. Please, let AI read MRI and scans to improve health (it saves lives already!), but not for deep fakes. Oh, and read my post, I’d like your comment on it specifically. (You will see why when you read it…) Blessings!

Thank you for this warning! The level that deception has already reached truly is appalling. I agree with you that we need to be so alert and to ask the Lord for His discernment at all times. Our time here is growing so short! May we look to Him more and more!

Gosh, thank You for that warning. I imagine we should be diligent to research who is behind the makings of EVERYTHING we listen to and follow. Finding trusted resources does require discernment and wisdom, especially these days!

Dear Jennifer! I am sitting here in tears, as I just read this aloud to my son. We are both completely appalled and so upset over this. To think that AI is manipulating the precious Scriptures and the voices of these beloved ministers and missionaries to bring in false doctrine and tarnish their reputations! I cannot even fathom it. I had heard of them mimicking older singers and causing it to sound like they are singing songs they would never have sung. But, twisting the Scriptures and distorting what the old-time ministers said are the worst things AI could ever do. This is so evil. Thank you for sounding the alarm to warn us all.

I remember Jesus warnings that many deceptions would happen before His return…may we continually look to the Holy Spirit for His discernment, guidance & direction in these unprecedented times. Jennifer, that is definitely Satan’s tool. Thank you for the warning. False teachers are everywhere most often disguised to bring you inside especially if you aren’t well grounded in God’s Holy Word! False teaching is everywhere in our country and we must always be aware!
