Welcome, come on in! I was just wondering if you’ve ever been challenged on an attitude, perspective or behavior.
I’m pretty sure we all have, especially growing up.
But as adults we don’t necessarily appreciate it, do we?
Especially if it’s from our spouse! Lol!
But what if the challenge comes from God Himself, Hmmmm?
Well I have recently been just so challenged!
Yes, I know it sounds a little scary but remember He is the perfect gentleman!
Let’s grab our cuppa’s & get comfy while I tell you all about it.
The blogging call
It all started when I felt called to start this blog back in October 2017, although I didn’t launch until January 2018, as I had to do quite a bit of research.
I like to know where I stand with new things & blogging was an alien world to me back then!
I decided before launching Tea With Jennifer, that I was going to keep our identities private because I had convinced myself that this was appropriate for my profession.
But since I posted Beware, be safe, it’s very real! I’ve had this niggling conviction that maybe, just maybe I should be trusting the Lord more!
Though, if I’m truly honest with myself, it was probably from October 2017 when the niggling actually began!
Thus, I have been doing some reflective soul searching with God in trusting Him more in this area.
Have you been there too, having to trust God more in a certain area of your life?
I mean the Internet is a scary place, isn’t it?
Especially when we hear of the nasty things that happen in cyberspace on a daily basis.
And having already experienced the theft of my credit card identity, its no wonder I became over cautious.
Although, being over cautious can equate to being fearful!
That’s just it, isn’t it?
If we continue to live over cautiously it soon morphs into living fearfully.
It begins to rule our life in one area then extends its tentacles to all other areas.
There’s absolutely no doubt that we need to have wisdom on the Internet, as in any public forum.
We do need to have secure sites with reputable site management.
Being wise in our personal content & mindful in taking the necessary cyber security measures, as we would in any public sphere.
Realizing…
We can’t live fearfully & be fearless in our calling!
Remembering…
“God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power & sound discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7
To have a little fun…can I have a drum roll please…

Nice to meet you 🙋🏻♀️💖😊
How awesome Jennifer! I just found you today. I’m so glad I did. 💚👏🏻
I am too! Such a delight in having you drop by! 😀
😊 thank you, Jennifer!
I appreciate your courage in sharing, Jennifer! I used a pseudonym for my first year of blogging so I understand your hesitation. I read the start of your story and I plan to come back to read more!
Thank you Lesley, I didn’t know you had hesitated too! God’s strength is strongest in our vulnerabilities! 😀
Nice to meet you, Jennifer M. Ross! 🙂 You and I began blogging at the same time.
You are so right, being fearful is not the way God wants us to live.
I am going to check out your Book Nook. thank you!
Lovely to know you Laurie! 😀
Thank you for sharing your book. I was deeply touched.
You’re very welcome, I’m honored that you read it. Lovely having you join me here in a cuppa! 😀
I too have just published my name online. I will not be silenced and I will not live in fear any longer. It’s time to take my identity back. Congratulations on your faith step! Nice work!
Thank you Heather! Congratulations on your step of faith & courage too!
I have found His strength fills us with courage to be brave when we allow Him to be our strength… praise Him! 😀
I blogged with a pen name for almost two years for the exact same reasons- fear of online space and not trusting God. I finally started writing as myself last year after Jesus took me through cancer and I finally learned to trustHim. Thank you for your bravery Jennifer Ross! I can’t wait to read your book nook!
Yes Valerie, when we go through hard times like your time with cancer, we realize that we are living memorials to God’s graciousness in our lives & we need to share fearlessly! 😀
Thank you for sharing this book. My daughter refused the amniocentesis because she thought it had a risk. She wasn’t going to do anything differently if the baby had an abnormality anyway. Did the test cause the placenta to rip? I loved your very specific description of life after death and found it very reassuring.
You’re welcome Elizabeth. Yes…
That was devastating. Was Benjamin free of the problems they anticipated?
I ran out of energy yesterday to type up the Epilogue but have just done so in Epilogue * 😀
Thanks.
Oh Dear Jennifer, what a gift! Thank you for sharing your heart and soul with us here! God has been dealing with me just this morning about another area of fear in my life that He is calling out. He truly is so compassionate with us, isn’t He? I so look forward to reading your book. I’m heading over there now. Blessings and love to you.
He is such a gentleman Bettie & I’m so glad He gently challenges, then helps us out of our bonds. 😀
Thank you for sharing your book here today. I have read portions of your story before, but never all together like this. What a precious glimpse into God’s sustaining grace for you! My heart longs for Heaven even more after reading your story. Blessing to you dear sister.
Thank you Bettie, yes His grace is extremely sustaining. We have an amazing promise of eternity… Don’t we 😀
Jennifer, I just read the four chapters. Praise God for your beautiful obedience to His calling. I wept as I read your story, what a journey you have been on with God. There has been so much pain, but beauty from ashes, and eternal joy everlasting. I am honored to call you friend, even though we will probably never meet this side of heaven. But you are my sister in Christ and our bond is not of this world. Thank you for sharing my friend and I know that God will use your obedience for His glory, for the building of the saints, and for the salvation of the lost. 🙏🏻❤️ May He receive all the glory and praise!
Yes, may He always have the glory & praise!
Thank you Pam, I feel honored to call you friend too, ♥ we never know what God has in mind for us this side of heaven though! But we do know we will meet one day in eternity! 😀
