Hi, welcome my friend! Come on in & we’ll enjoy a cuppa together while reflecting upon the time between requesting prayer & the answer, which may be instantaneous, a short time later or years in the coming.
But before we continue let’s grab a cuppa, a treat & get comfy. Today I’m enjoying a gf Coconut Macaroon with a large mug of Australian Bush Tea. It’s raining here which is a blessing & quite chilly so we’ll be sitting inside where it’s warm & cosy.
Waiting is a Process
The other morning I was listening to a devotional in which the host made a poignant statement, it was the following;
“Waiting isn’t something to get through before I can experience more of God; it is the process by which I get to know Him,” said Izwe Nkosi.*
So often we want our prayers answered immediately, don’t we? And at times, God does indeed answer our prayers quickly but often in His wisdom He waits for the perfect time, His timing. For the waiting is not only for us to experience Him more but also for the person or situation to experience God’s working to answer to our prayer request.
God does indeed answer prayer in His perfect timing.
The background to the statement above was when the disciples were waiting upon the gift of the Holy Spirit. It was approximately ten days between watching Jesus ascend back to the Father & the empowering of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
During those ten days the disciples were gathered together sharing & praying. As the following scripture demonstrates;
“These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren.” Acts 1: 14 KJV

Let’s make this personal…
In my life I have experienced all timings in answer to prayer, some immediate, some that took a little longer & others were decades in the waiting.
While there are prayers that I’m still awaiting an answer to but I continue in faith & hope for His perfect answer & timing.
I’ve also learnt over the years that I’ve been travelling with the Lord is that prayer is a major component in my relationship with Him. And we can see this through the example of His Son, our Saviour, Jesus. As shared in the following;
My Prayer
My most pressing heart’s desire & prayer is that all my family & friends will come to know & experience a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus for themselves.
For nothing else compares in this life than in experiencing & knowing His love, peace & comfort personally through Salvation with Jesus & the empowering of the Holy Spirit.
And I’m sure you too my friend are in prayer for those members of your family who are yet to know Him.
If you’re on your own journey in seeking Him then please join me in the following;
In the meantime, I am definitely experiencing more of God in my life as I await His perfect answer & timing to prayer. For He truly is my greatest Sanctuary in this life.
Until next time,
Jennifer

A great explanation, Jennifer. Sometimes I am in shock when God answers my prayer before I have time to verbalise it. Other times, he waits to bring me an answer. The great thing is that he answers all my prayers in His time and way and waits for me to mature enough so I can handle the results. Blessings, Heather D.
Thank you Heather! We do indeed have an amazing Heavenly Father who knows just what we need & when we need it, especially in answering our prayers in just the perfect way. Blessings to you too sweet friend 💕
