Is it that time Again?

This morning as I checked my emails, an email from our energy company flashed up, I thought surely it’s not time to pay the Electricity account again!

But no it was informing us that the Energy Plan we have in contract with them is coming to its end. And they have decided to put us on an “updated Energy plan”, of course without the discounts we have been receiving for years! Hmmm!

As I looked at the other Energy plans available, I noticed that they all tap into the same major Electricity Supplier. In other words each Energy company leases power off the main Power Grid Supplier to power our homes & businesses.

This brought to mind a post I shared a while ago, so I thought a reflection upon this today would be interesting & informative. But before we continue let’s grab our cuppa’s, a treat & get comfy.

Today, I’m enjoying a herbal Berry tea with a gf Salted Caramel Nut slice. Now we’re comfy let’s begin…

Tapping into the Power Source

I don’t know what’s happening in your nation but here in Australia Energy costs have gone through the roof, meaning the cost has raised astronomically. So to choose an Energy Company that has competitive rates to power our home needs thoughtful research into the different Plans (contracts) that each Power Company is offering.

As essentially they all lease power off the main Power Grid Supplier as mentioned above but charge different rates. Let me explain; the main Power Grid supplier operates as an electricity distributor from purchasing electricity from the National Electricity Market, they manage & maintain the poles, wires, and substations that deliver the power.

Where as the Energy Companies manage power from the point of connection (individual building’s power board) & monitors power usage of our homes & businesses. They also handle all the administrative services involved with managing that power, as well as, the contracts, plans & usage accounts of their customers.

The energy that we need in our lives

Why did all of the above hold my attention? At the moment I’m experiencing a physical slump in my energy levels (extreme fatigue) due to Fibromyalgia (FM), this happens in what’s known as FM cycles (aka flares) with this chronic condition.

The problem is these cycles don’t have any clear pattern to them to be able to manage them more easily. They often hit suddenly & quite often viciously staying for any length of time from a few days to weeks or months until they ease again often leaving as suddenly as they arrived!

Now what I do need to explain is that in between these flares FM sufferers still experience chronic pain throughout the body, fatigue & everything that goes with FM but the intensity is lower.

However, the flares amplify all of the symptoms manifold & each flare is different to the individual experiencing them. Even in the individual, each flare is unique, it just depends on the intensity of that particular flare.

When I experience these energy slumps (flares) my only option is explained in the following post;

Understanding the Energy Source

I hope you enjoyed our time together my friend & that you found the above post both informative & encouraging.

Until next time,

    The energy increases are happening here as well and it has been shocking to get the bill each month as it has been a colder winter. More so, I am so sorry for the flare up you are experiencing. I am so very grateful our God provides for all our needs, including the energy our bodies need. May He bring healing and help in this season as well, for He never fails us. {{hugs}}

  2. I’m sorry you’re experiencing another flare, Jennifer. I hope this one doesn’t last too terribly long.
    Our electricity bills have been rising this year too. And now our gas bills for car fuel is really rising. We all need energy to run; may your energy return to you sooner rather than later. ❤️

  3. In my seasons of life that I have experienced is that God never changes and His grace is sufficient in all situations. Thank you, Jennifer for reposting, and I am so convinced in my advancing years that God will never forsake me and His promises remain true. Blessings my friend!

    1. Jennifer, sending you a hug. I hope that your flare doesn’t last too long. So much is happening in the world right now: prices are up, and there’s so much uncertainty. I often remind myself that our God is so good, and he will continue to be good to us even in this world of uncertainty.
