Today, we are going to do something different, taking our travel mugs & treat with us for a walk.
We are going to find a spot by the water to have our time of reflection together adding to our physical activity for the week.
As you may know, I have been trying to increase my physical activity with Fibromyalgia it’s rather challenging but little by little, step by step (literally) this is happening! I am rejoicing!
Shall we look at this wonderful day through the wonders of nature…
Even with its icy blasts of wind coming up from the Antarctic here on the east coast of Australia a little adventure outdoors is enticing! Let’s go!
After walking around the corner at the end of my street we come to the waterfront & notice it’s low tide…at high tide the waves lap this grassy shoreline & the little beach disappears beneath the tide.
Entering a small Pine forest, we hear the eerie whispers of the wind as it races through the trees & plays tunes upon the pine needles.
A little path has been etched out by the feet of fellow walkers. Who frequent this spot to appreciate the wonders of God’s creation.
As we amble through we hear the scuttling of disturbed creatures of the under brush while our eyes adjust to the darkness under the canopy.
Exiting we discover that an Oyster colony has left an irregular heart shape on the rocks, we marvel at this & notice most have vacated their homes or fallen victim to the Pied Oyster Catchers.
As we continue we comment on the tides ability to sculpt drift wood into amazing shapes. Just like a seal raising from the sand to greet us.

What is reflected in our lives?
And we come to a spot where the beautiful clear blue sky is reflected in the waters of the estuary, as the boats sway too & fro on their moorings with each gust of wind & pull of the current.
I often ponder, when I see the sky reflected on large bodies of water like this, either a blue sky or a dark & moody one, for both are reflected on the surface, what my life may be reflecting.
I’m reminded of the wisdom left to us by the ancients…
As waters reflect the face, so one’s life is reflected from the heart.
Proverbs 27:19
My hubby always says;
‘what is within a person, their true nature, will be reflected through the heart attitude in the little everyday situations of life’.
Whether the heart is truly loving or not, whether true kindness abounds or meanness lurks, whether the heart is generous or holds tight to selfish motives. Food for thought, don’t you think?
I ponder my own heart attitude & which nature it is reflecting, the old inherited nature or the renewed nature of the Holy Spirit.
We sip our hot cuppa’s having found a sheltered spot from the icy wind, drinking in the breathtaking beauty of this beautiful water wonderland.
Today is a good day my dear friend, thank you for joining me!
Until next time,
Jennifer

Jennifer, this is such a beautiful post with lovely photos. I felt like I was with you there. When you wrote: “Entering a small Pine forest, we hear the eerie whispers of the wind as it races through the trees & plays tunes upon the pine needles.” I can hear that sound. I remember when Kenneth and I were on our honeymoon in Maine and hearing the wind in the pines and both of us connected even further through that sweet moment. I see that your last name is Ross. My maiden name is also Ross. My father’s family emigrated from Scotland and Ireland three generations back from me due to religious persecution. So glad you were my neighbor at a link-up today. ~ linda
That is such a sweet story Linda of you & Kenneth. I’m delighted it triggered that sweet memory for you today 😀
Yes, my husband’s family ‘Ross’ come from that part of the world.
My heritage is also from Scotland & Ireland our Clan is Clan Lamont we come from high King N’ahll of Ireland in 900AD. That’s as far as we can trace back but there’s evidence that the Celts (our family line included) migrated from the Bavarian region of Europe escaping persecution.
I enjoyed this walk with you, Jennifer (gosh I really need to get out more!). Looking at the view with the sail boats could almost look like my view here in the Virgin Islands on the other side of the world. How amazing that God would create such beauty for us to enjoy!
Blessings to you,
Marva | SunSparkleShine
That is really interesting Marva, His creation is so beautiful isn’t it….on planet earth & when we look to the heavens it is still amazing! 😀
This is a beautiful post… I love the message here… the attitude of our hearts is truly reflected in our face. Happy Weekend to you! ~ Maria

What a glorious outing, Jennifer! ❤ Walking and water, a wonderful way to relax and refresh our bodies and spirits…. Blessings and love, my friend.
Yes Bette, my spirit definitely soars in nature beside water 😀 ♥ bless you dear friend!
Jennifer, what a beautiful and thoughtful walk in God’s creation. It always renews my spirit to spend time outside in His beautiful world. Lovely post and photos dear friend!
Thank you Pam, yes we were created to spend time with our Creator in a garden. It’s interesting how most of us feel revitalized in the outdoors in His greater garden isn’t it 😉
I love that you walk within the limits of your physical capability instead of in response to a program. Loved your slow lovely pace and observations.
Thank you Elizabeth. 😀
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you 😀
You live in such a beautiful place, Jennifer! Thank you for sharing photos of your walk with us. I love the verse from Proverbs. I am sure I had read it before, but seeing it by itself like that makes it stand out. Your husband is a wise man!
I feel very blessed to live here Laurie, it has been such a sanctuary after all the traumas.
He does come out with some pearls of wisdom at times 😀
