“What is your emergency…

person standing beside car

…Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade?” the emergency service operator asked.

“Ambulance please”, I answered.

“Please wait as I connect you…”.

“Hello, this is the Ambulance service, the patient’s name please?” the operator asked.

“My husband, Steve…” I answered.

“Your full address please?”

Address given…

& “Is the patient breathing?” the ambulance service asked.

“Yes he is breathing but is gasping for air in quick labored breaths, he’s experiencing extreme pain, he is in agony, he feels cold & clammy to the touch & is deathly pale in color.” I answered.

“…An ambulance has been dispatched…now I want you to do the following…..” directed the ambulance service operator

I followed the directions & went into action until the Paramedics arrived to take over medical care.

“God is our refuge & strength,

A very present [pleasant] help in trouble.

Therefore I will not fear [but be brave]…”

Psalm 46: 1-2

This is the emergency call I had to make this week.

I am still walking the path of this most unexpected chain of events at the moment dear friends.

Please stayed tuned for the full story & it’s outcome (shared with my husband’s permission).

  1. Praying for peace beyond all understanding to fill your heart as you know the Lord’s loving presence, wisdom for the doctors and medical staff, and relief from pain as well as healing for Steve.
