Welcome dear friend, today I thought we would share a very special one on one time that I experienced recently…
Special times of love
It was my granddaughter Miss S’ 15th birthday last week & I had organized with her Mama to take her on a special birthday surprise, just Miss S & I.
After arriving at her home & the gift giving was over we headed off for our time together.
This birthday treat was a special morning tea at a classy café because we both love our delicious treats.
I gave her a choice from a list of three cafés in differing locations around her city.
One was in the city’s Art Gallery because she is very artistic & loves art, the other an organic café & the third, in a quaint historical village.
Miss S chose the café in the quaint historical village located in a beautifully restored sandstone building over 150 years old.
It was quite a warm summer’s day so we opted for an indoor table in the air conditioning.
Miss S ordered a savory brunch accompanied by a Strawberry milk shake, as they didn’t have the butterscotch flavor she desired.
I ordered a gf White Chocolate & Apricot blondie with a pot of Chai tea.
Spending time together & really listening
As we waited for our order we chatted about all the things that had been happening in our lives since we last had our one on one time together which had been awhile.
Life happens & though we had seen each other on different occasions we hadn’t had the opportunity for that special one on one time.
I love these special times when I can lavish my full attention on my individual grandchild without interruption.
When we can happily sit & chat about all manner of subjects & enjoy each others company over a cuppa & delicious treat!
But of course the real treat is in nurturing that all important Grandie relationship as she continues to grow into a wonderful & talented young woman.
I encourage you dear friend to have a new goal in making time for that special loved One in your life.
The gift of time, your time is so very precious.
To be able to lavish your full & undivided attention, one to one, is truly a wondrous blessing for all concerned.
Until next time,
Jennifer

This is lovely. Some of my fondest memories with my grandmother stem from times we went to eat, just the two of us. Treasurable memories for both of you.🌸

That is my hope for my grandchildren also…I have precious memories of my grandmothers, they were amazing women & great cooks!

This is so inspiring, Jennifer. I’m looking forward to special one on one time with each of my children this year. They’re now 11 and 13 so I want to soak up our time together before it goes too quickly.
Blessings to you and your family. Happy New Year.
