Hi, it is so lovely to have you drop by today, welcome, I have a cozy place for us to sit, relax & chat with a cuppa as its our winter here in Australia & it’s particularly freezing at the moment…

I have prepared some gluten free mini cinnamon rolls with glacé dipping sauce for our treat & a pot of Chai tea made with almond milk & a touch of honey (because one cup is never enough of this delicious blend!). We are sitting together at my dining table overlooking Gum trees, shrubs & wild grasses we call “the bush” here, which at times has wildlife guests such as Koalas, Goannas, a variety of birds including our resident Kookaburras & possums…

I had a really strange dream last night, when I woke this morning, I could still remember the finer details of it! I told my husband how weird it was & then I described the overall subject, he too thought it very strange…my dream was that I was in a “holiday factory”,  I was visiting my dear friend (introduced in Heart matters!) & she was trying to renovate this holiday factory by introducing joy into it, creating a garden where a barren scrub land existed! I told you it was weird…a holiday factory of all things!

Dreams…Are fascinating aren’t they…we can dream while we sleep or we can day dream while wake. We use the word to describe a goal for the future; as in a dream or dreams we have. We may describe someone we find attractive as dreamy or a dreamboat….or the concept of day dreaming can be used as a condescending remark,

“get on with it, you’re just a dreamer!”…

Medical Science & neuropsychology has many theories as to why we dream & what the purpose of dreaming does for us during our sleep cycles.

Some people remember their dreams while others don’t, some dream in color while others in back & white.  Daydreams are mostly being totally absorbed in our thoughts & imaginings while very much awake. The dreams we have for the future, are our hopes & aspirations we have for our lives.

scenic view of mountains against sky at sunsetMy dream last night, though rather strange can be simply explained, the last time I saw my friend we met at a holiday unit she was staying in, the last time we chatted she was telling me about the joy she had had at a family gathering she attended & my friend always tries to bring joy into barren places. The holiday factory in my dream was also manufacturing chocolate, my friend loves chocolate & my husband had been talking about making some chocolate & ginger fudge last night…simply a subconscious interpretation & filing of information…as well as, my friend had been in my thoughts…

But there are dreams that defy simple interpretation & explanation needing wisdom, discernment & prayer to understand…we are told in the Word that dreams will play a significant part in coming events here on earth in the coming day of the Lord…as they did in the first coming of Jesus…so they will in His second coming…

“…And it will come about after this that I will pour My Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions…” Joel 2:28

With recent & current world events, world leaders & their seemingly reckless political maneuvering that have many a hidden agenda, we need to continue to be watchful & alert for the coming of the King…with great discernment…

We also need to ask ourselves, are we ready & prepared for His coming… that Jesus Himself, while on earth, said will happen quickly…

You’re welcome to read how I began my preparation when I was on an archeological adventure in Digging for treasure…

Dreams are so interesting, don’t you think, thank you for joining me, dear friend, I enjoyed our time of sharing a cuppa together…Until next time…

  1. We are at the start of our first heat wave, so it is fun to think of you cozying up to tea in the winter. I dream a lot. Sometimes they are God dreams, sometimes not. I do love the idea of a holiday factory.

  2. Interrupted by my grandkids arrival just then. I loved that you have koala bears. Monday I had a pedicure(the things I learn about from my grown daughter!) and had my summer toes painted a color called Koala-Beary!

    1. I understand about our lovely grandchildren, smiling, I admire your ability to concentrate on blogging while they’re around!
What color was your nail polish? Yes, we have a good population of Koalas here in the area we live. They are beautiful creatures, we often hear the bulls calling out to the females!

  3. Jennifer, I enjoyed tea with you! It is so terribly hot here with high humidity! Dreams are sometimes very strange. I rarely remember one, but when I do it is usually a disturbing one. Thanks for sharing the Good News!

  4. Your gorgeous,dream-like photograph reminds me of some of my recent dreams–adventure dreams, I call them. They are usually prompted by someone/something I’ve seen or heard on a given day. ❤ Have a lovely week, Jennifer. xo

  5. What an excellent post, Jennifer! Dreams really are something we often puzzle over and have difficulty understanding. My husband seems to dream always in great (nearly exhausting) details and recalls many of them well. I do not recall many of my dreams and if so, only snatch pieces.

I especially love and agree with your tie-in about dreams and the hopefully soon return of our Lord! Amen!! Amen!! May it be so!

The tea sounds amazing even though we have 94 degrees here today!

    Hugs and blessings to you!

  6. Dreams are interesting, God can use them. I always caution people to be careful when interpreting the them, the Holy Spirit will help you. We drink iced tea here in the south but that cinnamon bun looks good and I wouldn’t mind a cuppa.

  7. Chai tea is my favorite. Growing up, I was always the dream interpreter for my friends and family. I love that you shared your dream, and are always so open. I sent your post to my Australian friend. She’ll love you! God bless xo

  8. I figured out why I forget to comment!! Your blog is set up to click on the “comments” under the title and doesn’t have an open are at the bottom. I guess they are all a bit different. Just like people! I love dreams too and always try to figure out what I am being told through them. Have a great week.

  9. Hi Jennifer, visiting you from Deb’s linkup. I always write my dreams down if they’re vivid, then pray about them. God often speaks to me through my dreams. My friend is also talking about dreams, as in our calling today on the blog. I hope you’ll drop by. 🙂

  10. Dreams are so useful to help work out feelings and problems from the day too. I enjoy dreams. Can you direct your dream or hit instant replay if you do not like how it is progressing? I can and have not met anyone else yet that can. My husband expressed amazement when I told him about this once. Thanks for joining us at the #LMMLinkup this week.

    1. No, I can only wake myself up out of a dream if it is nasty! Telling myself in the dream that it is a dream not reality.
I have read some research subjects that can do what you can though. Very interesting Mary!

  11. It’s fascinating how God designed our world with all its variety. Cold for you, 21 days over 100 Fahrenheit in June for us. But it gets down to the same lovely things, including tea with friends, enjoying the nature around us, and meditating on God and His gifts. Thanks for sharing.
