Tea With Friends

Hi, welcome to my humble little corner of cyberspace where we share a cuppa together while reflecting on things that make us stop, think, laugh or want to explore.

This week has absolutely flown by I can’t believe just how quickly it has gone actually. But I’ve had a quote constantly on my mind this week swirling around & around.

It’s one that comes to mind often these days as I watch the world seemingly go from the frying pan into the fire! Meaning from one disaster to an even worse disaster.

I wrote about this quote a few years ago & after reading it again, I couldn’t see that a new post would improve upon what had already been written in;

Only one earth life…

You may want to revisit it & have another read, if you come here often, or you may have joined me after it had appeared as it has some stark truths that I’m sure will invoke further exploration & comfort.

Until next time,

Jennifer

  1. I hope that culture will move toward talking more about death than less about it. We all know it’s coming, so we might as well face it and prepare for it. It need not be such an uncomfortable topic to talk about. Thanks for sharing this post again, Jennifer.

  2. The world is certainly going from the frying pan into the fire and then further into the fires of hell. I enjoyed your post, Jennifer. It just goes to prove that no matter how long your life is, how famous you might be, how wealthy you are, if you don’t have Jesus and eternal life to look forward to, you have nothing but fear. Just wondering if that documentary was “Tea with the Dames”? I have read about it but never seen it. Thank you for the reminder that with Jesus we have everything here on earth and a wonderful life to look forward after death. Like Paul, I could say I don’t know which to choose, to stay here to minister to others, or to go and be with Jesus forever. I’m glad we don’t have to make that choice because many of us might leave here much too early. God bless you, Jennifer.

  3. Thank you for sharing these encouraging thoughts Jennifer! There is so much fear and hopelessness in this world, but when we have Jesus, our hope is eternal! And what we do for Him can never be lost! Blessings to you in your season of autumn there, as we begin spring time here! ♥️♥️♥️

    How sad for those ladies who were so successful but didn’t seem to have a plan for eternity! Thank you for sharing your expereiences as well. It makes me think of the question that was going around on memes a few years back: What will you do with your one beautiful life?” I feel it’s a question everyone needs to examine from time to time.

  5. Yes, only Jesus will last! Thank you, Jennifer, for this encouraging reminder in the midst of so much chaos in this world. Love and hugs and blessings to you!

  6. Jennifer, thank you for this post. Believers don’t have to fear death. We can look forward to eternity. What a blessed assurance it is to know Christ as Savior!

    Blessings sweet friend,
    Pam
