Well hello my friend! So glad you could join me today.
Spring has sprung here on the East coast of Australia, the buds have burst forth.
The fruit trees are in a delightful display of pink blossoms. The native Australian wattles are a magnificent yellow. And our Azalea bushes are heavy with flower.
We will be enjoying our cuppa & reflection overlooking our delightful garden.
I have a High tea ready for us with delicious tiny sandwiches, mini quiches, scones with strawberry Jam & cream, topping it off with Petite Fours.
Now we’re settled let’s begin our rather serious but extremely important topic for reflection.
Have you noticed…
Have you noticed that this world is in some serious trouble?
I think we all have! Haven’t we?
Overt & covert things are heating up across the globe.
Let’s take a wee look at just a few of these;
Wars & rumours of wars…
Unprecedented Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Super storms Floods, Fire storms & Droughts (famines).
Plagues (Pestilence)…epidemics (SARS & Eboli in recent years) & this continuing CoVid pandemic with all its variants.
Western governments making deals with evil forces, costing the lives of many innocent men, women & children.
Brothers & sisters being martyred for their faith in Christ today, not hundreds or thousands of years ago but today!
Do we need to be fearful & anxious?
Looking at the above we may feel rather anxious & fearful & that would be a very normal human reaction to these troubling times.
We may also feel, as I do, great compassion & empathy for those who are suffering within the above circumstances.
Having personally lived through two major droughts, fire storms, floods & now living through this continuing pandemic.
I can truly empathize, through experience, with others facing similar experiences.
But one thing I’m very grateful for is that I haven’t lived in a place of physical war!
I can only imagine what it’s like to live in such a horrific setting, trying each day to protect your family from warfare.
Although did you know a major warfare is playing out around us?
There is a major spiritual battle going on around us, all the time.
Haven’t you noticed?
That there is real evil in this world that requires constant confrontation & addressing by the forces of good.
And those forces of good come directly from the heart & throne room of God! God’s Angelic forces are constantly in a battle for us. Why?
The war
War is always about an attempt by evil forces to take power from the good forces.
Essentially it’s the good guys fighting against the bad guys.
This spiritual battle we’re in is about this same attempt for power.
Satan & his cohorts (also known as demons) absolutely hate God who is the power, He is all things good, pure & righteous.
And because we are God’s special creation Satan hates us!
You see he wants to take over & reign this world under his evil, He wants the power God has, essentially he wants to be as God!
So the evil that perpetuates in this world is Satan & his cohorts doing everything they possibly can to take as many of mankind down with them.
Because my friend he & his cohorts already know they are defeated!
That’s why we don’t have to be fearful & anxious!
As they are already a defeated foe! How? By Jesus Christ’s death, resurrection & ascension.
And these foes know their time is running out!
Their time on this planet of causing all manner of evil & havoc is coming to an end...
When?
Only God knows the day & hour…but as that time draws near to Jesus’ return, the battle will heat up & it’s definitely heating up!
Jesus left us with the following;
“…Jesus…said..: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ, & will deceive many.
And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars.
See that you are not troubled or become anxious; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
And there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of the anguish.”
Matthew 24: 4-8 Paraphrased

“From the fig tree learn this lesson: as soon as it’s new growth & tender leaves appear, you know for certain that summer is near.
So when you also see these signs,
all taken together, coming to fulfillment,
you will know for certain that He is near, at the very door (of Jesus’ return).”
Matthew 24: 32 & 33 Paraphrased
Are you ready & watching?
Jesus also warned us a time will come that will be difficult for those living during that season of anguish;
“Immediately after the troubles of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man (Jesus) will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect (those who follow Jesus) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
Matthew 24:29-31
Are you prepared my friend?
For those of us who know Him we need to be watchful, things are already heating up around the globe on a scale as never before.
For those of you who are yet to know Him as your Lord & Saviour, He is knocking on the door of your heart right now!
Waiting for you to open it to His love, His healing & His Salvation for you. The moment I opened the door of my heart shared Here
Don’t wait too long my friend to get your heart right with God!
Whether you know him already or not. Make sure your heart is right with Him!
For Jesus has said, when He does come He will come very quickly.
And when that happens my friend there will be no more knocking on the door of hearts!
As scripture states above there will be great mourning throughout the nations.
For at that time it will be too late to accept Him into your life…thus the mourning He warns about.
For the era of God’s Grace, that we now live in, will come to it’s end.
Please, be ready!
Until next time,
Jennifer

Thank you Pam❣️
The Holy Spirit keeps resounding the words over & over that Jesus spoke, when I was in heaven during my clinical death experience, shared https://teawithjennifer.blog/excerpt/
Which exactly align with the words He spoke to the disciples in Matthew.
Thus the writing of this post. Maranatha!
Bless you sweet friend ❤️

Jennifer, your post is timely and most important. No one knows when Christ shall return, we must be ready for His coming.
I have never known so much happening in my lifetime. It is easy to allow the enemy to make us fearful. Evil is called good, and good is called evil.
Your post is outstanding and I will be sharing it with others.
Blessings,
Pam

Thank you sweet friend❣️
You have raised a great point Pam in the following,”Evil is called good, and good is called evil.”
And we are seeing this more & more in our societies. Maranatha!

Jennifer, When I saw your title I was a bit confused, then I thought, it’s spring down under and thought of you. Knowing who is going to win and the joyous outcome gives me hope and helps me not be afraid. We are in a spiritual battle. And we need to realize it. Thanks for tea. Really wishing I could sit down with you and enjoy High tea with “delicious tiny sandwiches, mini quiches, scones with strawberry Jam & cream, topping it off with Petite Fours.” My granddaughter has a 7th birthday coming up and my daughter and I are talking about having a tea party at a place in town.

I am so glad He has already overcome the world. Our hearts are pondering similar things! For some reason, in the summer and spring, I like coffee. When fall comes, I want tea – and tea time! Shalom, Jennifer, Praying your country opens up soon.!

Jennifer, especially in light of all that has transpired in the past weeks, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. But, you’re right. The enemy of our souls is already defeated. We must remember who the real enemy is and fight with our spiritual weapons (Eph 6). Thanks for your words here!

Jennifer, this post reminds me of what C.S. Lewis writes in “Mere Christianity”—that in the end, “God will invade.” That will not be the time to decide what side we are on, now is. As Lewis writes, “God is holding back to give us that chance. It will not last for ever. We must take it or leave it.” Thanks for this powerful encouragement to trust Him now.

Such a passionate plea, Jennifer, and so needed. Some days I have to cry, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Come quickly!” It’s so easy for me to feel anxious these days. I have to keep reminding myself to live from a perspective that God is still in control and the victory is already won. Thank you for your encouragement. Love and blessings to you!

You’re welcome, He is definitely still in control but all these things must take place before His return & in that we take comfort that we are not alone in these times. Lovely having you drop by today Trudy. 💝

Jennifer, thank you for these words of encouragement. Indeed Jesus Himself told us to discern the signs of the times, and they are all around us. While we can read about all of the turmoil, we have Peace, because the Prince of Peace promised to call us home, we have such hope and encouragement through His precious promises in these last days!

I call on the Lord every day to calm my anxious heart. I worry for some of my loved ones who know God and love Him but have allowed their relationship with Him to drop in importance. When the ways of this world get too much to bear – I often think of the fact that I KNOW how this spiritual battle will end and that it does indeed have a happy ending. We just have to stay strong and faithful.
